Why Sprouted Grains?

At Frankie’s we love the amazing benefits of sprouted grains, that’s why we add them to our delicious puffs! We wanted to create a snack that was both yummy and full of health benefits so we chose to use sprouted quinoa and sprouted brown rice.

A sprouted grain is more nutrient dense and it is much easier to digest than a non-sprouted one. Sprouting our grains mean taking time to nurture them during the germination process. This helps them break down the starches that sometimes lead to digestive issues. More specifically, sprouting our grains helps break down phytic acid which decreases the absorption vitamins & minerals. Sprouted grains have been proven to contain more vitamins, nutrients and are much more flavourful than regular grains. They're always the right choice when it comes to snacking!

Sprouted Quinoa

Quinoa is an ancient grain that is known for its multitude of benefits! It is a seed which means it is safe for people who are sensitive to gluten and those who suffer from celiac disease. Quinoa is rich in amino acids and protein. It is also high in fibre, magnesium, manganese, iron, and zinc. Frankie’s only uses sprouted quinoa in our puffs, providing the maximum benefits that this amazing seed has to offer.

Sprouted Brown Rice

Brown Rice is a classic healthy grain found in so many delicious dishes. Sprouted brown rice has four times more fibre and vitamin E than regular rice. It has also been proven to help lower blood sugar levels. At Frankie’s we use sprouted brown rice in our puffs — it is definitely the healthy choice.
